Queen Creek Unified School District will begin construction on it’s first swimming pool, after waiting more than 6 years for the go-ahead.
The brand new aquatic center will have a competition pool with 8 lanes, a diving pool and a training pool that the town will use for swim lessons. The complex will also house a building with locker rooms and classrooms which can be used for different purposes.
Shasta Pools got the contract and should begin construction within the next few weeks. The site is close to the existing Queen Creek Elementary School just off Chandler Heights and Sossaman.
As of now the pool is being built with student use in mind and should be ready for the competitive season which begins in August. Queen Creek High School is very much looking forward to the new pool for their season as they have been using the pool at Canyon State Academy.
